The countdown is on for one of the Far West’s biggest and most anticipated events, with the official program now released for the White Cliffs Gymkhana and Rodeo, set for ANZAC Weekend on April 25th and 26th.

The action gets underway Saturday from 8am, with a packed gymkhana program catering for all ages and skill levels. Events include flag races, bending, keyhole, barrels, apple in the bucket and musical cans, alongside flat races and a range of novelty events such as foot races, tug-of-war and more.

An ANZAC Parade will also take place, with a break scheduled mid-morning before competition resumes.

Sunday shifts into high gear with the rodeo from 10am, boasting more than $15,000 in prize money. The program includes the Jeff Woodberry Memorial Saddle Bronc Ride, open bull ride, second division events, ladies barrel racing, junior competitions and feature bull and bronc rides.

The weekend isn’t just about competition, with organisers promising a full community experience. Free camping and hot showers are available with admission, catering will run across both days, and a charity auction will be held Saturday night — followed by live music and dancing.

Organisers say the event wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support of sponsors, with more shout-outs to come in the lead-up to the weekend.

With horses, dust, community spirit and plenty of action, the White Cliffs Gymkhana and Rodeo is shaping up as a must-attend event this ANZAC Weekend.
