One of the region’s most iconic community events is set to return, with the 2026 North West Ag Wrecking Rowena Cracker Night locked in for Sunday 7th June at the Rowena Shire Hall.
Run by the Rowena P&C Association, the event has been a staple of the local calendar for more than 30 years — growing from a modest gathering of around 50 parents into a major community spectacle attracting more than 1,500 people annually, including a record crowd of 1,700 in 2024.
Held across the June long weekend, the Rowena Cracker Night draws visitors from communities right across Australia, with many making the trip specifically to be part of the celebrations.
Its success hasn’t gone unnoticed, with the event recognised as an “Australia Day Event of the Year” in 2013 — highlighting its importance not just locally, but as a standout event on the regional events calendar.
Beyond the fireworks and festivities, the night plays a vital role in supporting the Rowena community, with all funds raised going directly towards education initiatives and opportunities for local children.
Gates open from 5pm, with tickets available online.
A long-standing tradition, a major crowd-puller, and a key fundraiser — the Rowena Cracker Night continues to go from strength to strength.
