Outback Radio 2WEB respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Outback Radio 2WEB website, the Outback Radio 2WEB Android mobile application, and associated online services and integrations, including Meta and Facebook services used to publish content to official Outback Radio 2WEB and Western Herald Facebook Pages.
Information we collect
The Outback Radio 2WEB mobile app does not require users to create an account, register, sign in or provide personal information.
Outback Radio 2WEB does not use the mobile app or its Facebook publishing integration to collect, store, sell, rent or share personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photographs, private messages or financial information.
When users visit the Outback Radio 2WEB website, listen to the live audio stream or open external links, standard technical information may be processed automatically by the relevant website, hosting, streaming or security provider. This may include an IP address, browser type, device type and basic connection information.
This information may be processed as necessary to deliver requested content, maintain security, prevent misuse and troubleshoot technical problems.
Outback Radio 2WEB does not use this information to personally identify users, create advertising profiles or track users across unrelated applications or websites.
Live streaming and website links
The Outback Radio 2WEB mobile app uses an internet connection to play the station’s live audio stream and provide links to Outback Radio 2WEB website pages and services.
When a device connects to the live stream or opens a website, standard technical records may be created by the relevant service provider.
These records are governed by the privacy practices of the relevant hosting, streaming or external service provider.
Facebook and Meta integrations
Outback Radio 2WEB uses Meta’s official application programming interfaces to publish authorised news articles, images, links and other content to Facebook Pages operated by Outback Radio 2WEB and associated publications, including the Western Herald.
This integration is used solely to manage and publish content to those Pages.
It is not used to:
- collect personal information about Facebook users;
- access private Facebook profiles, messages or content;
- monitor individual Facebook users;
- create advertising profiles;
- sell or share Facebook user information; or
- publish content to personal Facebook accounts.
Meta may issue access tokens that allow the integration to perform authorised Page-management and publishing functions. These tokens are used only for those approved functions and are not knowingly shared with unauthorised third parties.
Information processed directly by Facebook or Meta is governed by Meta’s own privacy policies and terms.
App permissions
The Outback Radio 2WEB mobile app does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photographs, messages, call history or device files.
The app uses internet and network access to provide live audio streaming and open selected website links.
Advertising and analytics
The current version of the Outback Radio 2WEB mobile app does not contain third-party advertising, behavioural advertising or analytics tracking.
The Facebook publishing integration is not used for advertising, audience profiling or behavioural tracking.
The Outback Radio 2WEB website may use standard operational tools required for website hosting, security, performance and basic traffic measurement. Any material change to these practices will be reflected in this policy.
External links
The mobile app and website may include links to external websites or services.
Information processed by an external website or service is governed by that service’s own privacy practices. Outback Radio 2WEB is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external services.
Children
The Outback Radio 2WEB mobile app and website are general-audience services and are not specifically directed at children under 16 years of age.
Outback Radio 2WEB does not knowingly use its mobile app or Facebook publishing integration to collect personal information from children.
Data retention
The Outback Radio 2WEB mobile app does not create user accounts or maintain a database of personal information collected from app users.
The Facebook publishing integration does not maintain a database of personal information about Facebook users.
Limited technical records created by website, hosting, streaming, security or external service infrastructure may be retained by the relevant provider for operational, security and troubleshooting purposes.
Data deletion requests
Outback Radio 2WEB does not ordinarily collect or retain personal Facebook user information through its Meta integrations.
A person who believes information associated with their use of an Outback Radio 2WEB service is held by us may request access, correction or deletion by contacting:

Please include enough information for us to understand and investigate the request. Do not send passwords, access tokens or other sensitive account credentials.
Where applicable, Outback Radio 2WEB will investigate the request and remove information under its control within a reasonable period.
Information held independently by Meta, Facebook, a website host, streaming provider or another external service must generally be requested from that provider directly.
Security
Outback Radio 2WEB takes reasonable steps to protect information and credentials under its control from unauthorised access, misuse, loss or disclosure.
However, no internet service or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the features, integrations or data practices of the Outback Radio 2WEB website, mobile app or associated services change.
The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
