The Back O’ Bourke Stampede Peter Simmonds Memorial Pro Rodeo is calling on the community to get involved ahead of its upcoming Annual General Meeting next month.
The AGM will be held on Monday June 1 from 5:30pm at the Bourke Bowling Club Auditorium, with organisers encouraging both new and returning faces to attend.
“We’d love to see some new and familiar faces come along,” organisers said.
“This event is one of the biggest on Bourke’s calendar and it takes a passionate committee behind the scenes to make it all happen.”
The meeting will provide an opportunity for locals to have their say, get involved behind the scenes and help shape the future of the popular rodeo event, which continues to attract competitors and spectators from across the region and beyond.
The Back O’ Bourke Stampede Peter Simmonds Memorial Pro Rodeo has become a major drawcard for the region, celebrating Bourke’s strong rural heritage and rodeo culture while also delivering a significant boost for local businesses and tourism.
Organisers are encouraging anyone interested in supporting the future of the event — including volunteers, sponsors and community supporters — to come along and be part of the conversation.
The AGM will take place at the Bourke Bowling Club Auditorium from 5:30pm on Monday June 1.
