Landholders looking to strengthen their knowledge and improve the management of wild dogs are invited to attend a free community forum in White Cliffs.
The independently facilitated forum will examine current wild dog management strategies, opportunities for improvement and barriers preventing more coordinated and effective management programs.
Presentations will be delivered by local landholders with experience in pest management groups, professional wild dog trapper Matt Beach from Predator Trapping Australia, and National Wild Dog Management Coordinator Greg Misfud.
Representatives from NSW Local Land Services, the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will also take part.
Small-group breakout sessions will give attendees an opportunity to share their knowledge, discuss local challenges and identify practical actions arising from the forum.
The event will be fully catered, with attendees asked to RSVP by Monday, 10 August to assist with catering and planning.
A dinner will also be held at the White Cliffs Hotel following the forum, with further information to be released closer to the event.
The forum is supported by the Pastoralists’ Association of West Darling, Nutrien, Elders, BR&C Agents, Platinum Livestock and other local community organisations.
