The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and Local Land Services (LLS) are hosting a “Livestock Emissions” themed Field Day at Trangie Agricultural Research Station.  

With talks and field demonstrations covering:

  • low methane beef
  • low methane sheep
  • low methane pastures
  • grazing management
  • methane measurement tools
  • delivery of feed additives
  • general information on-farm emissions and carbon management

The low methane beef and sheep projects are in collaboration with Meat & Livestock Australia, Angus Australia, Animal Genetics and Breeding Unit and University of New England.
