The NSW Farmers Warren Branch is welcoming members — and anyone interested — to an afternoon of conversation, ideas and decision-making at the Warren Golf Club on Wednesday the 18th of February.

Things get underway with a public forum from 2.00pm, before rolling into the Branch Annual Meeting and General Meeting from 5.00pm.

Public forum – from 2.00pm

The public forum will include speakers and representatives from Tocal College, Local Land Services and NSW Farmers, sharing updates and perspectives relevant to local farming and the wider ag community.

The afternoon will also feature a keynote address from Darren Flanagan, a well-known motivational speaker who travels Australia sharing lessons on resilience, leadership and teamwork, drawn from his experience of the Beaconsfield mining disaster.

As a bonus, everyone who attends the forum will go into the draw to win a free NSW Farmers membership.

Have your say on the future of the Branch

The Warren Branch is keen to hear directly from members as it prepares its 2026–2027 Annual Strategic Plan (ASP). Members are encouraged to submit their top five issues or priorities for consideration.

This feedback helps shape what the Branch focuses on, the speakers it invites, and the actions and events it plans in the year ahead. The Strategic Plan is reviewed at the General Meeting following the Annual Meeting. You can submit your input when you register.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting will cover:

  • Chair’s Annual Report
  • Treasurer’s Balance Sheet
  • Election of office bearers
  • Motion on capitation fees
  • Nominations for Annual Conference delegates

A General Meeting will follow straight after.

General Meeting

The General Meeting will include:

  • Motions for Annual Conference and Executive Council meetings
  • General business

Members are encouraged to include any proposed motions with their RSVP so background checks on policy or past discussions can be done ahead of time.

A few things to note

  • Seven voting members are needed to form a quorum
  • The Warren Branch can send three delegates to the NSW Farmers Annual Conference
  • Members are encouraged to bring a guest along and introduce them to the benefits of NSW Farmers membership
