The Nyngan RSL Fishing Club is calling on anglers of all ages to help tackle the carp problem in the Bogan River, hosting a Carp Muster on Saturday 21 February at Rotary Park.

Fishing lines hit the water from 7:00am, with the event running through until 2:00pm. The last weigh-in is at 2:30pm, so competitors will have plenty of time to land the big one.

Entry is just $10 on the day, with competition categories for:

12 years and under

13–17 years

There’s serious incentive to reel in a monster, with $2,000 cash for the biggest carp caught during the muster.

Presentations will be held at 4:30pm at the Nyngan RSL Club, where continuous raffle draws will keep the excitement going.

🦐 Yabby Races to Wrap Up the Day

The fun doesn’t stop after presentations. Yabbies will be auctioned for the always-entertaining yabby races, kicking off around 6:00pm.
